Worlds' Safety Equipment List as per WS Category 3 Safety Rules published

Updated: Jul 28, 2021

You’ll find the Worlds' Safety Equipment List as per WS Category 3 Safety Rules at the Notice Board https://www.manage2sail.com/et-EE/event/ORCWorlds2021#!/onb?tab=documents&classId=ClassA or you can download it below

NOTE: In the previous OSR Checklist (published July 19th) there was a mistake on the AIS Class Transponder, in fact, A class AIS is not mandatory for the Category 3 (is needed a simple AIS Transponder). Also, the rule related to the emergency tiller and the alternative steering method has been added.

At the Worlds' webpage https://www.orcworlds2021.com/post/orc-measurement-seminar-in-tallinn there is a extensive presentation “ORC Worlds – Safety Equipment” with all requirements.

NOTE: Liferaft will not be required.

It is important that life jacket complies with ISO 12402-3 (Level 150) fitted with a whistle, lifting loop, reflective material automatic/manual gas inflation system, crotch/thigh straps (ride up prevention system (RUPS) and have a sprayhood in accordance with ISO 12402-8. For complete specification please consult OSR 5.01 at https://www.sailing.org/tools/documents/mo32021-[26832].pdf
